Hello, readers! I’m excited to share my journey and insights into various production systems, methodologies, and Agile practices that have shaped my career in industrial engineering and management consulting.

My journey began in 2001 when I first encountered Lean Thinking through the book by Womack and Jones. This sparked my interest in optimizing production processes, leading me to work for a company that was a tier one supplier for Toyota. During my time there, I immersed myself in the Toyota Production System, implementing just-in-time production and tools like Kanban.

Following this, I pursued my master’s degree in industrial engineering, where I delved into Theory of Constraints after reading Eliyahu Goldratt’s “The Goal.” This introduced me to the concept of recognizing bottlenecks in processes to optimize performance—an approach I successfully applied in various projects.

Transitioning to Alemex Group, I spearheaded business process re-engineering initiatives, leveraging my understanding of overall processes to drive significant improvements. Our transition to digital tools, including an ERP system that I championed as the product owner, revolutionized our efficiency and accuracy in customer design.

Seeking further improvement, I collaborated with Matriz Consulting Company to enhance our processes and problem-solving skills using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Serving as the project champion and undergoing Black Belt training, I led improvement projects to address chronic issues within our organization.

In 2016, I joined Maastricht Consulting Company as a management consultant and Master Black Belt for Neo Six Sigma. This role allowed me to further hone my skills in process improvement and change management.

One of the highlights of my career was serving as a change manager for Bayer during the implementation of their One Product Supply System (OnePSS) at their production plants in Turkey. This experience reinforced the importance of effective change management in driving successful process transformations.

Additionally, I gained valuable experience in Agile methodology, which started in 2002 with a focus on improving software development delivery models. As Agile became a buzzword in the industry, I embraced its principles and practices, eventually receiving a Scrum Master Certificate.

Throughout my journey, from Lean Thinking to Six Sigma, and Agile, I’ve learned the value of continuous improvement, adaptability, and embracing new methodologies in an ever-evolving industry. I’m excited to share more insights and experiences with you in future posts.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!
